PCPA Theaterfest Production of My Fair Lady with Pre Show Wine and Hor D’ouevres, Dessert at Intermission.
Our Summer gathering brings members, spouses, and friends together every year to enjoy food, friendship, laughter, stories, hugs, and happiness.
This production was a bit different than the movie, especially in the costuming and color for the characters … the colorful day at Ascot, the blue gown, instead of white, worn by Eliza (Karin Hendricks). Andrew Philpot as Henry Higgins and Peter Hadres as Col. Pickering were great friends, on stage, as in life. And Erik Stein as Alfred P. Doolittle was sublime. Matt Koenig, new resident artist at PCPA, played Freddy Eynsford-Hill with the lovesick look of a young collegiate and a voice that could seduce any young woman … except Eliza. The PCPA Production stayed true to the story, while delighting the audience to a few changes from their “experienced expectations.”
The food, wine, conversation, and live theater always add up to a great evening of fun for all!!
