Welcome Back Brunch – Saturday, September 21, 2013

September is always an exciting month for us, as we gather together again, to discuss plans for the coming year, share information about the ongoing groups and activities, and take a moment to meet, greet, and enjoy the stories from the Tech Trek Campers and our Scholarship recipients.

Our 2013 Trekers came to our September meeting to tell us about their experiences at Tech Trek Science Camp at UCSB, where they attended classes in physics, ecology and chemistry, experienced a college campus and met professional women who introduced them to careers in the world of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). For many this experience was a life changing event.   It is always so interesting to hear the girls share their stories, telling about what they learned, what was the most fun, what interested them the most.  Their enthusiasm and appreciation is felt by all.

We also enjoy the opportunity of welcoming new members and letting them become acquainted with what our Branch is involved in.
